Albite jade, known as Shuimo Jade in China, is a natural jade material often mistaken for icy jadeite.

A natural jade material mainly found in Myanmar, often from the same areas as jadeite.

It looks very much like icy jadeite but comes at a more affordable price. The rough stones are naturally clear and pure, with no treatments needed.

Hardness: 6–6.5 (jadeite is 6.5–7), so it feels lighter and more comfortable to wear due to lower density.

Like jadeite, albite jade ranges from opaque and slightly translucent to semi-transparent and fully transparent.

Based on texture, it is classified into types such as “Glutinous,” “Icy,” and “Glassy.”
